New short films showing at IFC Center

In the leadup to the run of MUSEUM HOURS, which starts on June 18, the IFC Center theater is showing a series of Jem Cohen shorts, including the premieres of A Day is Long, Helianthus Corner Blues, and Springtime. These shorts will play, one per week, before the theater's regular feature films.

In conjunction with the upcoming release of the feature film, MUSEUM HOURS, and the San Francisco Film Festival's granting of the Persistence of Vision Award, a show of original polaroids is currently on display at 1011 Market St., 2nd fl. San Francisco.  

MUSEUM HOURS begins U.S. run in NYC on June 28, '13

Distributor Cinema Guild will begin the U.S. theatrical rollout of Museum Hours in New York at the IFC theater and uptown at the Lincoln Plaza cinema. The run begins on June 28, 2013. Jem Cohen will be present at various shows.

We Have an Anchor at Tiff Bell Lightbox, Dec. 4 & 5, 2012

A show of projected images with live music, presented by TIFF and the Images Festival at TIFF BELL LIGHTBOX DEC. 4 and 5 at 8pm. The multi-projection show consists of footage shot over the past ten years in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, with texts and live music...
Musicians are Guy Picciotto (Fugazi), T.Griffin (Quavers), Jim White (Dirty Three), Jessica Moss (Silver Mt. Zion), Sophie Trudeau and Efrim Menuck. (SMZ and Godspeed You! Black Emperor), with guest appearance by Mary Margaret O'Hara.
